Add a Little Vintage to Your Decor!
Vintage pieces can blend beautifully with any decor! When I was younger, I thought all my decor should be updated and new. With age, I have learned to love and appreciate vintage!
It is bittersweet for me as I walk through an antique store. I see so many items that remind me of my grandparents’ homes. It is fun thinking back, but also sad that we let so many of those items go when our elderly family members died.
I now appreciate those old items that have been handed down to me because they hold such great memories and meaning that I can continue to pass down through my family. I now try to incorporate as many of those vintage pieces as I can instead of letting them sit in my attic.
Most of us have at least some vintage pieces that have been handed down to us, but if you don’t, or you want to add to your collection, making a hobby of going to antique stores, garage sales, thrift shops, and flea markets can be lots of fun and land you really great items for your home for very little money!
When incorporating vintage pieces in your decor, here are my most important pieces of advice:
1.The key is moderation and mixing old with new. Here are some inspirational examples!
